WEEK 1
Day 1: Course overview, types of inorganic modeling
- Course overview
- Types of inorganic modeling/image creation (product, vehicle, industrial, architectural/environmental), occurrences in industry
- Collect and show exemplars of inorganic model renders, discuss successful aspects
- Discuss parameters of inorganic modeling project
- Discuss learning resources
- Homework:
- Write two proposals for the inorganic modeling project
- Sign up for Digital Tutors and Gnomon Online training if haven’t already done so
Day 2: Proposal presentation
- Proposal presentation (large group)
- Continue research (and design if appropriate) of chosen subject
- Homework:
- Finish pre-production for inorganic subject (including Gantt chart)
- Begin modeling when pre-production is complete
- Prepare for WIP crit in one week

Day 3: WIP crit (cohorts 1 & 2)
- Work-in-progress critique #1: Cohort 1 (large group)
- Topics in production (blocking in rough model, fundamentals of design in composition, choosing a camera)
- Case studies as appropriate

Day 4: WIP crit (cohorts 3 & 4)
