This assignment is focused on showcasing your work as a 3D modeler, but this is only part of the purpose of your Portfolio Website. It should reflect your work as a professional in the CGI industry.
Using our studies in the "Thinking Critically About 3D" assignment, be prepared to discuss how your work and your website compare to the artist you presented earlier.
This is a Professional Portfolio Website, and as such should be consistent in content and design with similar sites by those working in the field.
It should be focused on your eventual goal, but contain all of your best work and the processes that led to that work.
Because this will be the medium for presenting your work at 9th Level Review, make sure that the requirements listed are easily accessible.
Even though there is no official “requirement” for a demo reel in 9th level review, you should have one on your website.
This video can reside on your server, or on an outside provider such as Youtube or Vimeo, but bear in mind that many people feel this is inappropriate for a professional. The safe answer is to be self-contained.
The website must be uploaded and hosted with your professional domain name. Therefore, you must register a domain name, and sign up with a hosting service.
You may not use Facebook, DeviantArt, Blogspot or similar to host your site – it must be your exclusive domain.
We will be working in Dreamweaver, and some Flash, but you may work in any software that you wish to create your website.

Due: 2nd Class, Week 10

To Turn in:

If your website is uploaded and active, then you only need to turn in a text or Word document labeled "Lastname_Firstname_Website" that includes your home page web address, (e.g.: www.stevepaul.com).

If this is not the case, then you will need to turn in a folder containing all of the files contained in your website, especially those pertaining to modeling.

On the due date, we will give breif, 5 minute presentations of our website for in-class critique.
