Broadcast Graphics Assignment 3 – Movie Titles.
The requirements Week 04 –
Day 01
- Style sheets/Storyboards, music selection and pitch for your title ready for approval and delivery. You may not proceed without Studio Head (Instructor) approval.
- By the end of the class you must have:
- a selection of music appropriate for your film
- style sheet frames placed in a storyboard corresponding to specific points in your sequence.
- Typographic approach/font selected
- a 100-200 word description of your reasoning and approach to the design of the sequence. This should focus on issues of color relationships, symmetry and balance, compositional layout, type choice, kinetic and eyeline flow, and any other elements you feel are relevant to the work. You should also include a description of the working metaphor behind your design and its relationship to the film.
Day 02
- QuickTime Animatic/Layout reel in ready for review and delivery at the beginning of class.
- No major changes allowed from the original storyboards.
- All frames must be placed in the timeline corresponding to the original storyboards.
- The composition for these must be "HDTV 1080 24", 1920X1080, (may be rendered at half resolution for this).
- Audio should be included and edited, (no abrupt beginning or endings).
- QuickTime movie with HD 1080p 24 compressor
- All work for both Day 01 and 02 must be contained in a single folder, labeled "Lastname Firstname Animatic".
- You must adher to ALL of these requirements to recieve a "C" or higher on this.
