  • The work is not turned into the proper folder.
  • The assignment is turned in more than one class period late.
  • The assignment is not labeled clearly.
  • There is little to no difference between the original mug shot and the image as turned in.
  • The assignment is turned in to the proper folder, but without the students' name
  • The assignment is one class period late.
  • A minimal amount of correction on the image has been accomplished.
  • The celebrity has no color (b/w) or is unrealistically colored, (green or purple, for instance).
  • The assignment is turned in on time.
  • The finished assignment is labeled "Lastname_Firstname_Mugshot.psd" and is placed in the appropriate folder.
  • The image has been significantly improved and shows use of the selection and retouching tools.
  • The image has multiple layers all with clear labels.
  • A new background has been added to the image.
  • All of the previous criteria have been met; PLUS
  • The image has been edited non-destructively, with the original image in a distinct background layer
  • Layer blend modes have been used effectively.
  • The face of the celebrity has been cleaned: bags under eyes removed, skin tones corrected, wild hair tamed, bloodshot eyes whitened, pixels and skin pores smoothed.
  • All of the previous criteria has been met, PLUS:
  • The Celebrity's facial expression has been altered to be more happy.
  • The Celebrity has been composited into a background and the lighting, color and grain of the photos is effectively matched.
