Each group member presents their website to the small peer group.
One member of the group critiques the presenter on the websites’ aesthetics
  1. What impression does the overall design of the website give of the artist?
  2. How do colors, shapes, type and general graphic design concepts add or detract from the artist and their work?
Another member of the group critiques the presenters’ website on its’ technical merits.
  1. Do all the links work? Do they go where they say they will?
  2. Are the images large enough?  Or too large?
  3. Are the images properly proportioned?  Or are they squashed or stretched?
  4. Are there any misspellings or grammatical errors?

A third member of the group critiques the Career Path section and links to studios or businesses where the artist would like to work.

  1. a. Is there clear understanding of type of work that is done at those companies?
  2. b. Can the artist speak clearly about the duties and qualifications that are needed at the companies?
  3. c. Can the artist articulate what they need to do to be qualified to work there?

As each member of the group takes their turn in presenting, the others rotate the critique duties until all members of the group have had an opportunity with each role.

Each group selects two members to represent their work to the entire class.

Each group as a whole will present and discuss with the class:

  1. Their reasons for choosing the two ‘showcase’ websites.
  2. The first person will then present their website.
  3. Three tips and tricks they (as a group) learned while completing the assignment.
  4. The second person will present their website.
  5. Three insights they (as a group) have discovered about “The Industry”.

Each group will have 10-15 minutes to present, including feedback and questions.
