3 Walks
Due Day 02 of Week 05.
Create three basic leg IK rigs and three basic walks.
1. "Neutral"
2. Female
3. Male
You are to create three IK leg rigs and three distinct bipedal walks, one "neutral", one female, and one male.
Each walk should comprise at least six (6) steps, (right, left, right, left, right, left or vice-versa), the timing is up to you, although a typical human takes about one step every half second.
The first, the "neutral" should be natural but have as little character as possible.
The female and male should exhibit differences in their strides due to anatomy, weight and attitude. (We are assuming that there are upper bodies connected to the hips, although you are not to include them).
We will assume that the bipeds have flat-soled shoes on, no heels.
Variations in anatomy, (with respect to gender), weight and attitude are up to you, but must be clear.
Technical Requirements:
QuickTime movies help enormously when analyzing movement, but they are not required for this assignment. If you choose, you may create movies, but please use the H.264 codec, and keep them smaller than 800X600.
Finished work should be dropped off in the "Finished Three Walks" folder, in the Intro to 3D Animation folder, in the Steve Paul folder, on the Drop Off folder.
PLEASE name your files: Lastname_Firstname_ThreeWalks.
Thank you.
