Student Guest Lecturer Series

This quarter in Introduction to 3D Modeling, we are introducing an exciting new series for your edifications....

The Student Demo

Each of you will have the opportunity to share with the class a demonstration of something that you find useful, fun and/or life-changing about Modeling in 3D.

(I will also accept heretofore under-demonstrated materials, lighting, camera or rendering demonstrations.)

We will have Student demos on all of those days when we do not have any projects due for presentation.

We will do up to three demos (three students) per day, with each demo lasting from 10-20 minutes each.

Because this is a new feature here in Intro to 3D Modeling, it is voluntary, and available for extra credit points.

You can earn up to 10 extra credit points, (that can lift your final grade from a 'C-' to a 'B-', enough to pass).

  1. You must include clear visuals.
  2. You must be able to be heard and understood.
  3. You must be well-prepared.
  4. You must be practiced at the technique you are demonstrating.
  5. You must address your audience, (no mumbling or incredibly long silences while you are demoing).

Your peers in the room will be given a score sheet and decide the points that you will earn. (subject to my final adjustment).
