Grading Assessment for 3604 and 5640

Because of the diversity of skills and experience brought together in these classes, I try and grade everyone according to their individual development.

That can be tough.

I expect everyone to do their best to understand the concepts, to speak inteligently about their own work and animation in general, and master a set of skills concurrent with their experience.

What that means is:

25% of your grade is based on your class participation.

(Show up for class, on time, turn in your work, on time, participate in discussions, work cooperatively when you are part of a team, problem-solve and work creatively.)

The rest of your grade is based on the individual assignments and projects:

5% for the Bouncing Ball

15% for Weight and Flow

15% for the Walk Assignment

40% for the Final, Open Project

I grade these based on your experience, how clearly you demonstrate an understanding of the principles behind the work, and the degree of fulfillment of your intention in the work.
