Hi Everyone!

So I’ve been off the grid since about the middle of last week…. I moved on Friday, and my old e-mail/ISP (Comcast) ended service Thursday and the new e-mail/ISP (Charter) just started today….
Add to that I lost my cell phone charger in the move, and of course my network and workstations were in a thousand pieces…. Anyway, you get the idea.  But I’m coming back on line now…

So tonight is a working night.  If you prefer to work at home, on your own machine, or your roommates…, that’s okay.
Next week we have our first Rough Cut due.
Which means, it really is a WORK night.  We need to keep pushing ourselves to make progress on our work in order to meet that deadline of May 3rd, (or 10th).

So your rough cut should be well beyond your animatic, much closer to what Scott showed last week with his “Layout Reel”.
You should have:

I’ll try and field larger questions and demo during our first hour, so especially those of you in 3604, come with some things you would like to see answered.  This can be with Maya or After Effects.

For the rest of you, I’ll try and meet with you individually, in alphabetical order, for 10-15 minutes each beginning at 7:00.
So, that would be:

7:00 Tom B.
7:15 Teroy C.
7:30 Stephen C.
7:45 Ben D.
8:00 Alison H.
8:15 Melissa “Chocolate” H.
8:30  Jennifer H.
8:45 Matt M.
9:00 Ben O.
9:15 Fiona S.
9:30 Kevin T.

After that, I’ll get to the 5640 gang, again in alphabetical order,   (Ed, Mike, Brian, Jon Lawson, Lon Ludwig, Adam, Scott, Pao), and I’m assuming that a few of you would rather work on your machines at home, etc.

If people don’t show up for their assigned time, (which is okay), or if we don’t have any questions for demo, (which is also okay), or if someone wants to talk with me before class, (I’ll be there about 5), then that will give us more time for the rest.

Finally, I’m attaching a three pdf copies of web pages that I found on Motionographer.com.  These links provided some pretty good insights into the making of some pretty cool animated shorts.  Check ‘em out.
